25/2/08 - The First Day in Bangkok

Hi Everyone, everything is well and good with us.

Did you know that Thailand 4 hours behind Sydney?!?

Any way I better get on with today.

We got up about 8am, and had an all you can eat breakfast!

Then we met our tour guide and went to the royal palace/temple.

Here our tour guide, Mac, told us about some of the different Kings of Thailand, about the main religion, Buddhism.

Did you know that Thailand has only three seasons? The Summer, Rainy, and Winter. Each is repersented by different buddha statues.

We then went to the Gem Gallery.

Here we were shown how the cut and polish rubies, how they put gems onto rings, and how the resixe rings.

We then went and had a look at what the had for sale. There were lot and lots of jewels, and some of the jewelry was very nice!

After that we went back to our hotel, and we had a swim on the top of the roof!

We then had room service and went to sleep.

I am really missing you guys and I hope you read my blog!

4 hours ain't too bad, when you get to the UK you'll be 10-11 hours behind (depending on daylight savings) =P

3 seasons.. thats different.. when do they start and end?

oh yes your mistakes:
"Did you know that Thailand 4 hours behind Sydney?!?" - should be 'that Thialand IS 4'
"and how the resixe rings." - should be 'resize'

i just had to do that =D

Looking forward to your next post.

Can you tell the girls (K & E) that our girls are wanting to hear their perspective too on their blogsites. ta. :)
