25/2/08 - The First Day in Bangkok

Hi Everyone, everything is well and good with us.

Did you know that Thailand 4 hours behind Sydney?!?

Any way I better get on with today.

We got up about 8am, and had an all you can eat breakfast!

Then we met our tour guide and went to the royal palace/temple.

Here our tour guide, Mac, told us about some of the different Kings of Thailand, about the main religion, Buddhism.

Did you know that Thailand has only three seasons? The Summer, Rainy, and Winter. Each is repersented by different buddha statues.

We then went to the Gem Gallery.

Here we were shown how the cut and polish rubies, how they put gems onto rings, and how the resixe rings.

We then went and had a look at what the had for sale. There were lot and lots of jewels, and some of the jewelry was very nice!

After that we went back to our hotel, and we had a swim on the top of the roof!

We then had room service and went to sleep.

I am really missing you guys and I hope you read my blog!

24/2/08 - The start of something new

Hi everyone, sorry for not posting, everything has been so busy!

I'll start at the , well the start!

It was very sad leaving our friends and family, there were lots of tears.

When we passed customs, we hopped on the plane pretty straight away.

The flight took 9 hours, and we arrived 2am, Sydney time, 10pm Bangkok .

After an hour at Bangkok airport, we got into a taxi and went to the Grand China Princess Hotel.

After checking in and waiting for another bed and cot we finally went to sleep.

Sorry for such a brief description, but I was in a rush.

Love you all!

An Amazing Find!!!

This morning, I was watching sunrise, and they had this thing on hackers, and they said you should seach your name in "quotation marks".

So I seached my name, and then I decided to seach my mums name.

I did that and I found this poem the my mum wrote for me when I was 3 years old.

Here it is....

A MOTHER'S FEARS!

Today I took my little boy and held him in my arms,
I looked in to those big brown eyes and was captured by their charm.
Then all at once it hit me that one day he'd be a man,It was with this amazing thought that all my fears began.

Would I teach him properly the way to love a wife,
The way to raise their children, and live a godly life?
How to listen to the voice of the Father up above,
And how to introduce to friends the wonders of His love?

Would he earn an honest quid, and put food upon the table,
And serve the Lord and others, the best that he was able?
Would he make a godly mark on the world in which he dwelt?
As I thought about these things, my fears began to melt.

God has given ME this child, because no other could,
Mold his heart and character, and teach him to be good.
Or show him how to read and write or how to play with others.
God had choosen ME to be his only mother.

So now I hold my child close and think of how I can,
Teach my tiny son, how to be a godly man.
My fears are healed by the knowledge that somewhere up above,
God had given ME the job of this little child to love.
